Matevž Goršič, born on August 9, 1966, in Celje, graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana in 1998 with dr. Mirko Cuderman in the field of music pedagogy and thus obtained the title of professor of music.  Since then, he regularly teaches music and shares his knowledge as a choir director for various bands. Since 2003, he has also been working as a composer of various music; from music for children (4 collections Halo?, the children's cantata Kje je Tina and a series of compositions that were commissioned by the 1st program of RTV Slovenia), music for various chamber ensembles, chanson (his compositions have been regularly performed at the Slovenian Festival since 2008 chanson, the composition Magnolia, also received the first prize in 2010). In the same year, he also wrote a popular Christmas cantata, produced by the House of Culture in Celje. In 2021, he wrote the acclaimed piano collections I can't wait to sit down at the piano - Glimpses of nature and I can't wait to sit down at the piano - Suite 1-13, which were very successfully performed by the Fran Korun Koželjski music school from Velenj , and presented at the EPTA Piano Symposium.

During the entire period of his creation, compositions of other musical genres were also created, from jazz to popular music.

In 2023, with the composition Now It's Time, he also made it to the semi-finals of the high-profile Song of The Year music competition (judged by Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys, U2's The Edge and other outstanding creators of world pop culture) and therefore received a corresponding certificate.
