Percussion - mentor Urban Krč

Urban Krč is considered one of the best drummers and percussionists in Slovenia. In Šentjur, he completed the lower music school in saxophone and percussion, and continued at the secondary music school in Celje.

 

He has collaborated with various groups (Trip, Merryland, Starlight, Kolektiv 69, New Creatives Inc, Saxotoxin) and with many orchestras (PO Šentjur, PO Music School Celje, Symphony Orchestra of the Music School Celje, Extra band GŠ Celje, Slovenian Army Orchestra,. ..). He achieved high awards in percussion, 2nd place in the country in 2005 and 1st place in the country in 2008, and in the same year he also won 1st prize at an international competition in Russia.

 

 

He is the winner of the Student Prešeren Award for 2010. In the same year, he received a scholarship for a study program at a renowned school in New York-Drummers Collective. In 2011, he collaborated on a project with guitarist Paul Gilbert.

 

Urban is a percussion teacher at GŠ Celje and a drum teacher at the internationally renowned Modern Music College in Celje (www.mmcc.si).

 

For the last few years, he has given regular concerts after club and festival concerts, and has appeared regularly on television appearances on national television. The biggest concert success is the collaboration with guitarist Paul Gilbert, with whom he performed in Celje in November 2011. The concert was very well supported by the media, both on the Internet and with reviews in newspapers. In the same year, he performed with the band Feliks Langus at Emi 2011, on the show Nlp and several times on the show Spet doma, and in 2012 he made his first television appearance at the Bob of the Year event with the band Saxotoxin. In the beginning of 2012, he joined the group ICE, and at the same time he is collaborating with the music band BO !, with which he released his debut in the beginning of 2012. In 2013, he became a member of the accompanying band of the Bilbi group.

 

Urban currently lives in Celje and, in addition to the groups already mentioned, he actively participates in the following ensembles: Edenon, Portico, Resonanca.

 

The teaching hour lasts at least 45 minutes to one hour (by arrangement).

 

At the end of the month, each listener also receives an audio CD  a recording of one's own performance,  at the end of the school year, he is entitled to a professional study recording.

 

 

Each student also receives a music notebook, a control booklet and  KUD Uglašene ribe coupon, which allows him an additional discount when buying a new or used instrument in the M&G music store.
